We will continue to provide our services from Rapid House until such time that we might be forced to self-isolate should any of us fall victim. At that stage we will revert to all available staff working from their homes while continuing to access their computers remotely. At such stage some staff may have restricted telephone connectivity with clients.
We have also decided to stop any face to face meetings where we currently make visits to clients’ premises with arrangements being made to continue this type of service through working remotely.
To add to our own challenges, we have ourselves been affected by COVID-19 with the closure of local schools putting additional strain on our workforce.
Clients will already be aware that this is a particularly busy period for us with year-end payroll processes needing to be completed, followed by the transferring to a new (to us) payroll software for the 2020/21 payroll year. This has been forced upon us by our long-term software company no longer providing the service after Week 52 or Month 12.
We remain positive however that both individually and collectively we can (hopefully) all come out of these unprecedented circumstances stronger and healthier in the future – but like the rest of the country, we cannot say for sure, nor how soon.
